About RGP
Dr. Rebeca García Pinillos – Sound Relaxation Therapist & Founder of RGP Resonance
|
Hello, I’m Dr Rebeca García Pinillos (RGP) — a qualified sound relaxation therapist, musician, and educator, based in Berkshire.
My work with sound is rooted in deep listening, safety, and nervous system regulation. I offer sound and gong baths as spaces where you can slow down, settle, and reconnect — without needing to perform, fix, or achieve anything.I hold a Professional Diploma in Sound Therapy from the British Academy of Sound Therapy (BAST), and I approach sound work with care, sensitivity, and respect for each individual’s experience. A grounded, evidence-informed approach Alongside my sound therapy training, I bring a background that bridges science, education, and music. I am a published author, a qualified music teacher, and a classically trained guitarist, with many years of experience using sound and learning as tools for wellbeing. Before focusing on therapeutic sound work, I have spent over two decades working internationally as a veterinarian, teacher, and public speaker, specialising in welfare, ethics, and wellbeing. This work included collaborations with universities, organisations, and international institutions, where I explored the deep links between care, regulation, and compassionate living. All of this experience now comes together in calm, human-scale sessions designed to help you feel safe, supported, and at ease. |

From global systems to personal wellbeing
This journey led me to develop the One Welfare framework — a globally recognised approach grounded in the understanding that wellbeing is interconnected, relational, and deeply human. Today, my focus has gently shifted from large systems to personal, human-scale spaces. I now work one-to-one and in small groups, offering sound sessions that are intimate, grounding, and intentionally held. Each session I facilitate is guided by the same values that have shaped my professional life: presence, responsibility, compassion, and respect for individual boundaries. |
“Sound, when offered with care,
can become a place of rest.”
What I offer?
Through sound baths and sound-based sessions, I create spaces for deep rest, release, and recalibration. Each session is an invitation to pause from the demands of everyday life and gently tune into the body’s natural rhythms — supporting relaxation, mental clarity, and emotional balance.
My work is grounded in presence, safety, and responsiveness. Whether in one-to-one sessions or small groups, sound is offered as a supportive environment rather than something to “do” or achieve.
Alongside therapeutic sound sessions, I also offer professional talks and workshops exploring wellbeing in relation to nature, animal welfare, and the environment. These are tailored to organisations, cultural contexts, and countries, and draw on my background in science, education, and ethics.

The Science Behind the Sound
My approach to sound is informed by both scientific understanding and lived experience. As a vet and scientist I am deeply interested in all available science underpinning the benefits of sound bath journeys.
Sound waves interact with our bodies through vibration and frequency, supporting physiological responses associated with relaxation. Certain sound patterns can activate the parasympathetic nervous system, helping to slow the heart rate, ease muscular tension, and reduce stress responses.
Sound can also support shifts in brainwave activity, such as alpha and theta states, which are commonly associated with relaxation, creativity, and emotional processing. These support meditation, creativity and emotional clarity. While experiences vary from person to person, many people report feeling calmer, clearer, and more grounded after sessions.
